The Myrrors – Solar Collector (2013)

“With little attention to singing, Tucson’s The Myrrors instead focus on a unique brand of desert rock where atmosphere and experimentalism are both psyche and prog-rock fueled. Each track here winds its own distinct and complicated path, from droning and muted to bursts of jazz fusion and all with a haunting, mysterious backdrop. The band are never in a hurry to get anywhere, instead focusing on manipulating each moment before moving into other unpredictable realms.”

Krautzone – Kosmische Rituale (2013)

“Krautzone was formed in September 2011 automatic – it just created itself totally spontaneous and autonomous: They met at the moonbase, to spend a nice time together. THE moment came and they decided to play music, so they fired the aggregates, pressed the recording button and improvised on the fly. After this session they all thought it’s like holidays from their actual bands like Electric Moon, Zone Six, The Pancakes.”

Blown Out – Jet Black Hallucinations (2015)

“New Power Trio formed in 2014 from Newcastle, UK. Their music is heavy rolling basslines, waster infused guitar freakouts held together with steady freeform rhythms. Made up from members of BONG, Drunk In Hell, Haikai No Ku, 11Paranoias, Khunnt and pigs pigs pigs pigs pigs pigs pigs. The trio evoke the psychedelic rock, space rock jams from San Francisco’s glory days – effects-laden guitar jamming that goes nowhere and everywhere, held down by a hypnotic groove that never misses a beat, no matter how long they play without pause.”

Mind Mountain – Mind Mountain (2013)

“Liverpool heavy space Rock band MIND MOUNTAIN have accrued an impressive live reputation in a relatively short space of time. Dealing in lengthy instrumental prog/psych jams that feature a bewildering amount of improvisation and intuitive music-making, the three-piece successfully combine reckless abandon and pinpoint accuracy. The trio have so far recorded three weighty slabs of dense riffage and hypnotic grooves into the world, the cuts boasting the influences and love of the likes Hawkwind, Budgie and early 70’s Progressive rock.”

Secret Oyster – Sea Son (1974)

“SECRET OYSTER became somewhat of a super group when members of BURNIN’RED IVANHOE, CORONARIAS DANS and HURDY GURDY formed this unit. By the end of BURNIN’ RED IVANHOE’s career (that spawned seven years), Karsten Vogel started forming a new band… Their sound recalled MAHAVISHNU ORCHESTRA, NUCLEUS, Herbie Hancock’s Mwandishi and Sextant albums as well as Miles DAVIS’s Bitches Brew.”
