Drahk Von Trip

“DRAHK VON TRIP is a six piece band from Malmö, Sweden, performing progressive psychedelic acid rock. This is strongly influenced by 70’s prog and spacerock with female vocals, featuring ethnic sounds, blended with expressive lyrics. The music and lyrics create various moods and a suggestive feeling, often built up through a soft and floating shape into an intensely wild and chaotic state. The process of creating the music together starts with free form jams.”

Pärson Sound – Pärson Sound (1968)

“Before to become TRÄD, GRÄS OCH STENAR, this late 60’s Swedish musical collective were first known under the name PÄRSON SOUND and then as INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER. They only published one album with the original formation. This band can easily define the Sweden’s krautrock sound. Not so far from ÄLGARNAS TRÄDGÅRD and CHARLIE & ESDSOR… A brilliant psych album with buzzing drone-ragas and cavernous free rock improvisations.”

The Spacious Mind

“Formed in 1991, The SPACIOUS MIND have since become known as one of the world’s leading psychedelic bands. Their music owes as much to the acid haze of the San Francisco ballrooms in the late 60’s, as it does to the unknown areas of space, heart and time. The twin guitars are battling over a steady drums/bass background, while the atmospheric keyboards are swirling in and out of your mind, and together they create a melancholic tapestry of sounds that should please anyone into consciousness raising or simply the message of LOVE.”

Hills

“Hills formed as a 3-piece aiming to make music that focuses on the groove/sounds and rhythm instead of the lyrics/message and classical songwriting structures. To create a meditative space heavily dependent on improvisation. To create a feeling but not necessarily to explain it through words. Influenced by everything from the early experimentation of John Coltrane via the repetitiveness of Velvet Underground, Krautrock / Psych in general and the grimness of early black/ death metal bands such as Hellhammer and punk. Hills try to keep it honest, analog and raw in the very best way they can.”

My Brother The Wind

“My Brother The Wind is a psychedelic rock oriented project formed in Åmål, Sweden in 2009. The band consists of Nicklas Barker (Anekdoten) on guitar, Mathias Danielsson (Makajodama, and formerly of Gösta Berlings Saga) also on guitar, Ronny Eriksson (Magnolia) on bass and Tomas Eriksson on drums. The idea is to record albums out of the blue, totally improvised and with no previous rehearsals.”

Baby Grandmothers

“The band can be treated as ahead of time with a progressive experimental orientation playing long, mainly improvised songs oriented at Cream and Jimi Hendrix. Some of them were placed on a compilation which was released in 2007 by the swedish Subliminal label. They were recorded at the legendary ‘Filips’ club, a breeding ground for new experimental bands at that time. BABY GRANDMOTHERS also jammed with Mothers Of Invention and supported The Jimi Hendrix Experience on their Scandinavian tour at the turn of the year 1967/68.”
